今日は、弊社工場のダイカストマシン。
ダイカストとは、精密な金型に、溶融した金属(アルミニウム、マグネシウム、亜鉛合金など)を、圧入することにより、高精度の製品を成型する技術および製品を指します。

Die casting is a metal casting process characterized by forcing molten metal (such as aluminium, magnesium, and zinc alloy) under high pressure into a mould cavity to manufacture high accuracy moulded products.

今回は、ロストワックスの現場です。
ロストワックス製法は、伝統的な蝋型鋳造法に近い鋳造法で、形状の再現性の高さ、鋳肌の美しさが良いのが特長です。複雑な形状の美術品の鋳造にも利用されています。蝋にあたるワックス型はシリコンゴムでつくります。

株式会社ナガエは、ダイカストメーカーとして、先進のダイカスト鋳造技術をメインにしながらも、伝統産業である高岡銅器の400年の歴史を礎としたものづくりで、幅広く・専門的な鋳造技術を誇っております。


A Snapshot of Manufacturing Floor: lost wax casting floor

Lost-waxing cast is quite close to the traditional ceroplastic technique and characterized by high repeatability and the surface smoothness. It is the suitable way to cast complicated shapes. The moulds are made of silicon rubber.

The city is renowned for its metalwork, produced by an industry dating back more than 400 years. In its hayday artisans developed a wide range of casting techniques.
